Michael Laughing Fox Charette’s flute performance will be the highlight of the American Indian Learning Resource Center (AILRC) Fall Feast. The gathering will be held on Tuesday, September 20 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. and features a light luncheon.

Charette is from the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. He is also known by the name Baapi Waagosh, meaning "Laughing Fox" in the Anishinaabe language. He grew up and lives on the shores of Lake Superior, and says he “continues to be inspired by her beauty.”

He recently worked with the Big Top Chautauqua in their community connection series which bridges cultural barriers by using traditional dance music and art from not only the Anishinaabe Culture but indigenous cultures from across the world. Charette is a self-taught Native flute player, who has also performed the Crazy Horse Memorial.
