CEHSP invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions in Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology, Public Health, and Social Work. Appointments will start August 20, 2018.


Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology

The Department of Psychology is seeking a teacher/scholar who is committed to effective pedagogy and who possesses the interest and ability to establish an active high quality research program that involves undergraduate and graduate students. Required qualifications include experience in conducting empirical research in industrial/organizational psychology or highly related fields, and a commitment to working with diverse populations and fostering diversity across campus. The successful candidate will have completed a doctoral degree in Psychology with a specialty in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or highly related field from an accredited institution by the start date of appointment.
The area of research specialty is open. To complement current faculty interests, it is preferred that applicants have research experience which might include, but are not limited to: attitude theory, measurement, and change; occupational health and well-being; and job evaluation and compensation. Research interests that address changes in the workplace (e.g., globalization, diversity, technology, aging workforce, etc.) are preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching a diverse student body at the collegiate level, a strong quantitative background and the ability to teach graduate level statistics courses, and experience in conducting applied I/O projects.

Social Work

The Department of Social Work has a full-time, tenure track faculty position available at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor for its MSW program and BSW program. Job duties and responsibilities include teaching, advising, research, and service. Required qualifications include a Doctorate in Social Work or related field (e.g., Education, Public Health, Sociology, Psychology, American Indian Studies) completed by time of appointment; a clearly articulated research agenda; active commitment to fostering diversity across campus, the social work curriculum, and the social work department; a Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education; two years post-MSW Social Work practice experience; and meets eligibility requirements for licensure by the Minnesota Board of Social Work.

Public Health

The Department of Applied Human Sciences invites candidates with teaching and research expertise in Public Health to apply for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Responsibilities of the position include teaching in Public Health Education and Promotion, research, and service. The Department employs 22 full-time and 16 part-time faculty members with teaching and research interests in Public Health Education & Promotion, Physical Education, Exercise Science and Environmental and Outdoor Education. The curriculum of the degree programs reflects the accreditation standards of the various disciplines.
