The Outdoor Learning and Recreation (formerly Environmental and Outdoor Education) minor familiarizes students with nonformal outdoor education settings and provides basic training in outdoor education methodology and program delivery. In addition, nature-based outdoor recreation is emphasized as both method and goal. The recreation-outdoor education minor is a scholarly and professional complement to a wide variety of disciplines, such as psychology, biology, and environmental studies.
