Academic Affairs Council-Education Department

This council will review course changes and new programs and course proposals, this council has representation from each of the programs and reports to the college curriculum committee.

Scholarship Council

This council will work on allocating Education Department scholarships.

Strategic Planning Council

This council will work on the Education Department Strategic Plan (to be achieved in the next 3 to 5 years).

Technology Council

This council will work on the distribution of the Education Department technology funds.

Community Outreach

Community Advisory Council on Teacher Education (CACTE)

The Community Advisory Council on Teacher Education (CACTE), is a collaborative relationship between P-12 schools and the University of Minnesota Duluth, Department of Education and Teacher Education Programs, provides leadership in the preparation of teacher candidates for the teaching profession.  The Community Advisory Council on Teacher Education’s (CACTE) mission is to be involved, through input towards decisions and planning together, in the design, implementation and evaluation of the University of Minnesota Duluth Teacher Preparation Programs that prepare teacher candidates for the teaching profession.   This group includes representation from all of the identified Program Advisory Board's.

Administrator Advisory Council (Administrator Breakfast)

The Administrators Advisory Council is a collaborative relationship between P-12 school administrators and the University of Minnesota Duluth, Department of Education and Teacher Education Programs, provides leadership in the preparation of teacher candidates for the teaching profession.
