Supervisor Information
The UMD university supervisor is an important liaison between the teacher candidate and the cooperating teacher. University supervisors are the faculty for student teaching courses who guide the teacher candidates in completing coursework as it applies to student teaching expectations.
Supervisors also serve as observers and assessors of best practices and dispositions in teaching. University supervisors are essential in the communication between schools, programs, and UMD.
