Teacher Licensure Program Overview
Unit Approval
On February 9, 2018 the board took the following action and granted the education unit at the University of Minnesota Duluth, FULL CONTINUING APPROVAL effective until June 30, 2023.
On February 17, 2023 the board approved the extension of the onsite review to fall 2023. This also extended UMD’s education unit FULL CONTINUING APPROVAL effective until June 30, 2024.

Approved Teacher Preparation programs at the University of Minnesota Duluth
The following teacher preparation programs are currently approved by the MN Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB). The programs complete the PERCA review process with PELSB every three years to maintain program approval status.
On March 11, 2022, the PELSB board took the following action and granted the below identified approval status for each teaching license program until June 30, 2025.Â
The next PERCA review cycle will be completed during the spring 2024 semester for an October 2024 report submission.
