Duluth Indian Teacher Training Program
Ruth A. Myers Center for Indigenous Education
This program funds tuition, fees, books, and living expenses for American Indian students interested in becoming teachers and attending UMD. The funding is available annually and the application is available online. This opportunity is available to students who are enrolled tribal members and their descendants. You may also be eligible for the State Indian Scholarship and other scholarships. During your student teaching semester, there is a one-semester scholarship program available: the Minnesota Teacher Candidate Grant.
