Hi, I’m Dr. Daehyoung “DH” Lee. Students call me Dr.D. I am an assistant professor in the Physical Education Teacher Education program at UMD. I am also a program coordinator of Developmental Adapted Physical Education minor. I earned my Ph.D. at Indiana University’s Department of Kinesiology, with an emphasis on physical activity and health promotion in individuals with disabilities. I also studied in the European Master of Adapted Physical Activity program at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium and Palacký University in Czech Republic. My research focuses on improving physical and mental health in individuals with disabilities using interactive technologies such as mobile health apps and wearable activity trackers. Outside of academia, I enjoy fishing, running, kayaking, skiing, and watching Vikings games.
