Iris Carufel is the assistant director of the AILRC. She is enrolled in the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe and is a proud descendant of the Ho-Chunk and Santee Dakota Nations. Iris has been serving American Indian college students for nearly 5 years. She loves sharing cultural crafts and learning about different backgrounds.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, Iris is excited to assist students on their educational journeys.
Iris co-advises the Indigenous Student Organization and currently oversees the Talking Circles co-sponsored by Counseling Services. Her door is always open!
