Hello~ My name is Katharine Grunseth and I am thrilled to be the new Head Child Development Teacher at Preschool at the Park! I am a native Minnesotan but have only recently moved back after a long period in the Pacific Northwest. My husband Dylan and I have 3 girls who are attending middle and elementary school in Duluth. Making the move back to Minnesota with us are our 3 cats and our friendly old dog.
Since receiving my Masters in Education from Oregon State University I have been working as an elementary educator for the last 10 years with Portland Public Schools. Before that I worked with preschool-aged students at Seattle Parks and Recreation summer program. I also worked as a Garden Educator while teaching in Portland and I enjoy sharing my love for our environment with my students. I believe that every child learns at their own pace and a teacher’s role is to help facilitate a student’s individual learning needs. I look forward to working with children and their families at Preschool at the Park by providing an inclusive, child-based, and nourishing environment!
