Wendy received her PhD in social work from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She joined the UMD Social Work faculty in the fall of 2014. Wendy’s practice experience has been concentrated in child welfare, child protection, and school social work. Wendy currently teaches Human Behavior in the Social Environment (HBSE), Intro to Research, and Field. Wendy’s broad research interests include child sexual abuse, child welfare policy, and global sexual violence. She especially enjoys partnering with community agencies to evaluate programs and practice.
