Why are you excited to be a Peer Advisor?
I’m excited to work one-on-one with people passionate about working in fields similar to my own—and of course, as someone who wants to be a teacher, I find it very rewarding to help others. Most importantly, I hope I can teach my peers not only how to navigate their college experience, but also how to enjoy it. :)
What is your favorite thing about UMD?
I’ve found so much to appreciate in my first year at this University. I think UMD is the perfect size for me as far as its physical presence and student population go. I’ve been able to find extra-curricular activities and jobs that fit my skill set, and I’ve already been able to build strong relationships with the staff and faculty. And, as a bonus, the fact that I can get everywhere through underground hallways makes me feel like I’m living in a bunker after an apocalypse!
