Bella Thomas is from Aurora, MN. The senior is a double major in psychology and biology with a minor in chemistry.
Why did you choose UMD?
I chose UMD because I love nature, and there is so much to explore here.
What do you like most about your program(s)?
I like the number of unique classes that you can take as a psychology major. It really accounts for all types of psychology, whether you are into biopsychology or social psychology! I also love the amount of research opportunities we have here at UMD.
What has been your proudest accomplishment or your most meaningful experience at UMD so far?
My proudest accomplishment at UMD was completing my UROP in psychology, as well as presenting my own research at the Midwest Psychological Association in Chicago.

I really enjoy going on hikes, as well as playing with my dog Stormi.
