Augmentative Alternative Communication

Augmentative Alternative Communication Regional Outreach Program (AAC Outreach)

The major mission of the AAC Outreach program is to conduct evaluations of individuals with communication disorders who may benefit from Augmentative Alternative Communication or AAC-based intervention.

The AAC Outreach program is managed through the Robert F. Pierce Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.  The program engages clients in using multimodal communication, and gives clients the opportunity to explore the use of technology to support communication.  Resources include eye gaze computers and the use of communication apps on electronic tablets.
