Alan Ingram

Alan is a 1975 graduate from the School of Social Development (prior to the current BSW/MSW Program). Within three months of receiving his MSW at UMD, Alan applied to Hamline University School of Law, graduating with a Doctor of Jurisprudence.

Shortly after being admitted to the Minnesota Bar, Alan was hired as the Executive Director of the Minnesota office of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW-MN), where he served the professional social work community for over 30 years.

Alan has remained active with the UMD Social Work program, attending their Social Work Alumni event every year in Duluth. He has also done trainings for the National Association of Social Work on the Duluth campus to allow social workers in northern Minnesota access to these important educational opportunities.
