Hi, I’m Lisa Paulson. My students call me Lisa. I am the School Health Education Program coordinator and an instructor in the Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) Program. I earned a BAS in Physical Education and Health Education from the University of MN Duluth, and a MS in Teaching Physical Education with an emphasis in Adventure Education and Outdoor Pursuits from the University of WI LaCrosse. Prior to higher education, I taught elementary PE, Adapted PE, and Health.
I currently serve on the Minnesota Society of Health and Physical Educators (MNSHAPE) board of directors, as well as the Society of Health and Physical Education (SHAPE America) Physical Activity Council.
My favorite class to teach is PETE 4100 Elementary Physical Education Methods. I love this class because during this time, Physical Education candidates learn how to teach REAL kids and evolve into future professionals. Having the opportunity to instill passion, advocacy, and enthusiasm in our candidates is why I love my job.
