Sally Gorski

Sally Gorski is the Manager of the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. She earned her Bachelor of Applied Science degree and her Master of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Sally spent her career in medical speech-language pathology, as a direct service provider, consultant, and manager. She is recognized as Hennepin County Medical Center, and by her colleagues, as a Program Specialist in evaluating and treating individuals that have been tracheotomized or intubated, specifically addressing their communication options and swallowing potential. She also was a clinical consultant for Passy-Muir, one of the leaders in speaking valves for individuals with tracheostomies. As a consultant, she gave seminars and in-services at the local and national level, including an Eddy Lecture at UMD, to prepare other SLPs for working with individuals who had tracheostomy tubes.

Sally holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is a member of the Minnesota Speech-Language-Hearing Association, where she has been an active committee member and advocate on behalf of the profession and individuals with communication disorders, and is currently is the president of the organization.
