Gitiinakomis - Roberta is enrolled in the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa and has been in Child Welfare since 2008.

Her experience in child welfare has included working with White Earth Nation, as well as Red Lake in various positions throughout child welfare. She also has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is currently working on getting a Master’s in Indigenous Law.

Roberta has 5 children, 3 boys, and 2 girls, and have been married for almost 15 years. She also has an amazing grandson who just turned one. They are a traditional family that values the grandfather teachings and practices our Native American culture daily. They have also been fortunate enough to be foster parents in the past and provide a safe home for children that need it.


Along with being a strong advocate of the Indian Child Welfare Act, Roberta is excited to work for the TTCP and be apart of the team! Her experience with tribes and child welfare will help her excel in this position.
