Dr. Ken Gilbertson, professor in the department of Applied Human Sciences, is the recipient of the 2016 Faculty Sustainability Inspiration Award. This award acknowledges his advocacy and active involvement with the promotion of sustainability and sustainability education at UMD for over 25 years. He is recognized internationally as an important leader in guiding work in protected nature areas.
