Ashley received her PhD in Experimental and Applied Psychology from the University of New Brunswick (Canada). She joined UMD in Fall 2017 after two years at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Her primary program of research is designed to investigate attitudes and judgments relating to romantic and sexual relationships, the onset and maintenance of these relationships, and the role of gender/sexual identity in romantic and sexual experiences. Ashley weaves her research experiences into the courses she teaches at UMD and is passionate about engaging with students of all backgrounds.
