Professional Interests: Elizabeth earned her PhD in Educational Studies at Lakehead University in Ontario, Canada. Her research explored children's empathy with the more-than-human world at a forest school setting, using multispecies ethnography as her methodology. Her research is guided by an educational background both in early childhood education and in environmental education and work experience across Canada in a multitude of settings. Elizabeth's current research interests include social justice, sustainability, Indigenous knowledges, nature-based early learning, and community-engaged learning.
