Jon was a Child Welfare Scholar in UMD’s MSW program, graduating in 2010. He then received his PhD in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2022 before joining the UMD Social Work faculty in the Fall of 2022. Jon’s research interests are in the areas of mental health services, criminal justice, health and healthcare disparities, and program development and evaluation. He currently teaches courses in both the MSW and BSW programs including Human Behavior in the Social Environment (HBSE), Social Welfare Policy, and Research.
