Hello! I'm Karen Skrbich. Students call me Ms. Skrbich. I'm an instructor in the public health program at UMD. I have my B.S. in Community Health Education and my Master's of Education degree with a focus on worksite health and behavior change. In addition, I am a First Responder Trainer, CPR Instructor, and a Registered Dental Hygienist.
When it comes to public health, my primary interest is in teaching! My favorite class to teach is HLTH 3307 Worksite Health Promotion. This sub-specialty of public health focuses on worker safety, well-being efforts, and the health of employees and their families. Since employees spend a third of their lives working, this area of public health can make a great impact on our lives.
