My name is Katie Michela. I love Duluth! I have lived here for 14 years. I grew up on a small farm in Nebraska, where you can see for miles. Lake Superior and the woods have enchanted me. I enjoy spending time exploring with my family! I have three kids, one in middle school, one in elementary school, and one in preschool. My husband and I also love dogs, so we have three pals that tend to take up all the couches. I hold a bachelor's degree in Environmental and Outdoor education with a minor in Environment and Sustainability from UMD. In my free time you can find me in my garden, in the woods, knitting, at yoga, or curled up with a good book.
I am delighted to be the assistant teacher at Preschool at the Park. I am excited to share my love of nature with preschoolers. I hope to help foster a great appreciation towards the natural world that will accompany the children throughout their lives. I look forward to meeting new families and building strong relationships as we work together to set goals for your small beings.
