Marzell I Gray
Professional Title
Assistant Professor

Hey, I'm Dr. Marzell Gray. Students call me Dr. Gray. I'm an assistant professor in the public health program at UMD. I have a doctorate in Public Health with a specialization in Health Advocacy and Leadership, a master's degree of Business Administration, and a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. I also have certifications as a Nutrition Specialist, Personal Trainer, and Massage Therapist.

When it comes to research, my primary areas of interest are Health Coaching, Collaborative Online International Learning, Health Inequalities, and Global Health. My favorite class to teach is HLTH 3115, Consumer Health, because we partner with universities in the United Kingdom and Uganda to compare international healthcare systems. I also enjoy HLTH 4700, Global Health, because we learn about different ways of viewing health from around the world.

I look forward to working with you!
